Can there be such a thing as too much hockey? Well, maybe if Team Canada and the Oilers are playing at the same time! Canada looks to stay undefeated in the 2012 World Junior Championships as they face Denmark starting at 6 p.m. and the Oilers visit the Wild, also starting at 6 p.m.
How is a hockey fan to decide which game to watch? Luckily, WEM has the solution! With so many venues to watch the game, you don’t have to miss a minute of action. Bourbon Street is the centre of hockey action and, with a giant Team Canada jersey hanging right above, you are bound to feel patriotic. Bourbon Street has many venues to catch the action in and TVs located right in the middle of the street for the duration of the World Junior Championships (that are always tuned to TSN). Hudsons Canadian Tap House will be showing both games and it will be a game-time decision as to which game will have sound. Sherlock Holmes will be showing both games with the sound on the Oilers game, while Hooters will also be showing both but with the sound on the junior game. Boston Pizza will be showing the Canada game, but if you want to watch the Oilers game, your server can make sure it’s on at least one of the TVs for you.
Bourbon Street is not the only place you can watch the game at WEM. L1 Lounge, in the lobby of Fantasyland Hotel, will be showing the Canada game, but if you would prefer the Oilers game a server can arrange for it to be shown on one of the TVs for you. Finally, 300 Club Lounge in Ed’s Rec Room is equipped with many large screen TVs and comfy seating, including couches. They will be happy to show either game and majority rules on which game will be viewed with sound.
