From time to time I indulge in a guilty pleasure of mine which consists of watching late night television infomercials and eating a bowl of Rolo ice cream. Liquipel is Now Open

Liquipel, an award-winning technology that protect your smartphones, tablets and MP3 players from water damage, has opened their first North American storefront right here at WEM.

Yesterday, Liquipel Co-founder Danny McPhail was at WEM to demonstrate the watersafe™ technology that will protect your phone should you happen to drop it in the toilet, tub, a drink, or even get pushed in the pool or lake while out this summer. Liquipel’s coating is so thin, it isn’t noticeable. It doesn’t affect the look, feel or functionality of your phone.

He also demonstrated Liquipel’s new shock resistant technology that prevents your phone from cracking. While this treatment is not currently available at the WEM store, it is expected to be among the offerings soon.

The Liquipel coating can be applied in 25 to 30 minutes while you shop. Pricing starts at $59.99 for your smartphone and $79.99 for tablets. Stop by the store, located on Level One, in Phase II, beside the Ice Palace to check it out.
