News for Shoe Lovers – Dr. Martens and Camper

Take a stroll down the Boulevard and you’ll notice a couple of new stores along the way. Dr. Martens and Camper are the newest members to the Europa Boulevard family. I had a chance to take a gander inside and I was quite impressed. The oh-so-stylish and enthusiastic staff in both stores are great and more than happy to show off their favourite pieces.

Walking into Dr. Martens was like stepping into a store on Covent Garden in London. It’s a beautifully decorated store with burgundy red bricks on one wall and a collage of scenes from the UK. Their selection of shoes is pretty impressive too. If you’re a Dr. Martens fan, you will not be disappointed. For those of you who, like me, know the brand but have yet to own a pair, you too will be just as excited. They have the iconic Dr. Martens boots in solid colors, patterns, and even some furry creations too. In the back of the store, they have a number of dressy shoes and boots with the same comfortable air cushions.

From Left to Right:
MIE 1461, $220 – The foundation block of the Dr. Martens brand. Complete with smooth leather and their famous welted sole.
Pew 1460, $160 – Classic Dr. Martens with a shiny twist!
Vintage 1460, $240 – This is a replica of the first boots to roll off the production line in 1960. Handcrafted in the original factory with Quilon Leather.
Shoe Care Kit, $25 – Includes Wonder Balsam, full size Dubbin, mini shoe shine sponge, brown and yellow laces, black round laces, and duster cloth.

Right next door is Camper which is the first location in Canada (lucky us!). Everything about the store is meant to delight your senses. You’ll be hit with a fresh smell of cedar from the huge wooden table that displays all of their beautiful shoes. The variety of styles you’ll see is endless – flats, heels, loafers, dressy shoes, athletic shoes, and they even have a small section for the kids. Pick up the shoes, try them on, and feel the innovative technology that defines Camper. The shoes are incredibly lightweight and extremely flexible. Right off the bat, you know these shoes are comfortable.

From Left to Right:
